Where to eat in Bali: warungs, cafés, restaurants

How eating works in Bali, warungs, breakfast cafés, restaurants by area and delivery to the villa, plus how this shapes which villa you should pick.
Eating in Bali is simple in structure: almost every villa has a warung nearby, a small family place serving local food, while breakfast cafés and coffee shops line the main streets of Canggu, Seminyak and Ubud. Beyond that come the restaurants: Asian, European, vegetarian.
This section is about how food connects to where you stay. If walking to a café matters to you, the area and even the street matter more than the villa itself. If you want quiet, a villa with a kitchen or with staff who cook works better, and delivery to the villa is normal practice here.
We do not publish dish prices: they move with the exchange rate and differ by area. Where we give a number, we name the source and the date.
